There are sixteen different themes for the guest rooms, here are but a few:
There's something disturbing about those "pillows".They crack me up.

The beautiful, conservative facade which belies the fantasy inside.
The lobby.

This time from the Ribbon Room.

Oh so elegant.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
Bed of Roses
Sleeping in a Ballgown
Zzzzz
{could NOT sleep in this one}
and
The Luxurious Attic
{which, disappointingly, looks just like a Kikki.k store at my local shopping centre}
I love this.
With so many little servings you could fool yourself into thinking you were hardly eating a thing.
Breakfast tapas!
Genius!

It has been hovering around the 40oC {104oF} mark ALL week here in Sydney. Tomorrow is supposed to reach 42oC {108oF}!!
I think my brain short-circuited a couple of days ago and the most I can manage is to walk from the pool to the freezer for ice blocks and back again.
I gave the kids the day off school today.
They're all wrung out and exhausted.
JD insisted on going though because he's just started high school and today they're lighting bunsen burners and doing an experiment in science.
Bless him.
We have a heavy schedule of sitting on the couch in the air-con watching Brady Bunch and MacGyver re-runs, sucking on ice blocks and trying not to annoy each other {fat chance}.
Hope you're staying cool wherever you are.
If you're in the US, I hope you're staying warm and safe.
Crazy weather!
QUOTE OF THE WEEK:
Lucy: Mum, can you sign my goal sheet for the term?
Me: Sure, what is it?
Lucy: "To try to not disturb anyone in class time by chatting"
Me: Oh, I didn't realise that was a problem for you.
Lucy: It's not. I think it's a problem for everyone around me though.
