The action hots up around the village of Eisdorf

It has been far too long since I had played a Napoleonic battle at my place using General D’Armee. My old friend Paul has been painting up a fine Perry Miniatures Russian Army so the time was perfect to get together and fight through an old converted GdB scenario.

The great advantage of having a dedicated Wargames room is the ability to set up games and move through the rules and action at leisure knowing there is no pressure to conclude a game do that the table can be cleared for dinner.

The key books and rules for  today

So the initial setup has the Russians holding Eisdorf  and the French and their allies looking to push them out and occupy the village within 15 turns.

The Russians are in a strong position with the only mounted troops on the field, albeit Ukrainian Cossacks, however the French are a determined formation under Marshall McDonald.

Some more photos and information later in the week as something tells me some time working at home is on the cards.
